Coppermine install: http://scrapbooktradingplace.com/gallery (version 1.4.16)
Forum install: http://scrapbooktradingplace.com/forums
Forum version: phpBB 3.0.1
Test user account: testuser/testuser (in http://scrapbooktradingplace.com/forums/)

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://scrapbooktradingplace.com/forums
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../gallery/
Use post-based groups?:  0 (not sure)
Cookie name/preifx (if applicable)

Problem description:

/forums/login.php does not exist in the phpBB directory. I'm guessing Coppermine should be using forums/ucp.php to login???

Is this a version problem somewhere.

p.s. I am new to both programs, and problem solving for a friend.

Error message after bridging:

Not Found
The requested URL /forums/login.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Cheers,
And thanks in advance,
Max

Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../gallery/

Should have read "../forums/"

You are trying to use the phpbb2 bridge with phpbb3 which will not work. The only phpbb3 bridge available for CPG 1.4 is a user contributed mod and goes unsupported.

Thanks for the reply nibbler. I am only using what came with the software.

What would be the recommended course of action then:

1. attempt the user contributed bridge (wherever I may find that)
2. downgrade
3. abandon coppermine?
4. ?

Cheers,
Max

re 1: the thread for the user-contributed phpbb3 bridge is http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,43383.0.html, but keep in mind that it goes unsupported.
re 2: that would be an option seen from our perspective: downgrade from phpbb3 to phpbb2 and use the bridge files we provide.
