Hey guys,

Newbie here...I read through these forums and even the Help/Install Docs on here and I believe I did everything correctly.  Set all CHMOD's to 777, and ran the install.php in my coppermine directory and it said it installed correctly...but when I go to the DIR it takes me to my phpMyAdmin.  See here:

I also use Yahoo small business hosting.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how can I get the Coppermine Gallery working correctly??

Thanks in advance for any help!

You (or your webhost) must have installed coppermine and phpMyAdmin into the same directory, or there is a re-direction in place. Re-upload all files from the coppermine package by FTP to the folder that corresponds to the URL http://www.badgerstateproductions.com/gallery/ (making sure to overwrite existing files on the webserver) and see if this cures your issue. If it doesn't, you'll have to ask your webhost for support.

BadgerState

Thanks for the reply, appreciate it greatly.

I re-uploaded the files via FTP and now it shows a blank page:

It doesn't show a blank page, but actually it shows a "403 forbidden" error message. That's related to webserver setup. As I suggested initially: this is not related to coppermine at all, but entirely to webserver setup - ask your webhost for support. We can hardly advice what you need to do in this case.

I noticed that as well, however it was during a time when Yahoo was doing maintenance on their hosting.  It is back to the blank page again now.

Here is a response I just received from Yahoo, they are unwilling to help:

QuoteHello Badger State,

Thank you for contacting Yahoo! Small Business Customer Support.

I understand you are having some difficulty integrating a third party
gallery software program into your website.  I would be happy to
address
your inquiry.

At this time Yahoo! Web Hosting is unable to provide support for third
party scripts and software.  We recommend that you instead visit the
web
site associated with the software or script that is giving you trouble;

you may find your answer in that web site's FAQ or help forum.
Alternately you might searching for keywords related to your issue on
Yahoo! Search, at:

   http://search.yahoo.com

Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Small Business customer support.
If you need further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us
again.

Regards,

Rex

Basically they told me to ask you guys for help.  I keep gettin turned in circles here   ???  :(

That's a standard reply - the techie at Yahoo probably didn't read your mail carefully and just hit the "send generic reply to user" button. You didn't say what you asked them in the first place. If you asked them "I'm having issues setting up Coppermine" or similar, their reply is understandable. You need to ask this in a manner that they have to react. A "403 forbidden" error is definitely a problem that lies on their end, not ours. Coppermine doesn't (because it can't) set up permissions on file system level or webserver level, but the error message indicates that this is the case. I assure you that the error message you get and the previous one with phpMyAdmin shining through is a pilot error or a webhost issues. It definitely is not a coppermine issue. Look: I'm not giving you standardized, out of the box replies. This should show you that I actually read your requests and that I took a look at your issues as far as I could. But you have to believe me that this is not related to coppermine. Definitely not. I'm sorry, I can't help you. Please try contacting Yahoo again - they're taking the easy way out.
My guess is that they have a sort of control panel that let's you install apps like phpMyAdmin with a mouse click (something like cpanel or similar), and I'm pretty sure as well that you can assign an alias for folders. Make sure that you haven't set up phpMyAdmin in a manner that makes it overwrite all index files from other apps in other folders.
You might want to take a look at http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,18943.0.html as well.
