im worried about installing ?
i want my thumbnails to look perfect..
but im not sure
is there any chances that if i install this
it has a chance of ruining my gallery altogether ?

Your main page already is overkill, it eats way too many resources and will "kill" older machines visiting your site because of resources consumption, i.e. freeze the browser, so I'd be more concerned about that.
As Nibbler suggested: applying any piece of software is a potential risk that something might go wrong, so you need to back up both database as well as the file system to make sure that you can safely go back in case of an error. Your question "could stramm kill my gallery" is a bit misleading: as far as I can tell, Stramm is a very nice person, not a killer. The modpack he provides is a pretty nice add-on tool that works well on many thousand galleries. However, if applied improperly, there is a risk that something might go wrong. This only happens if the end user who applies the modpack makes a mistake - there is not flaw built-in into the modpack that we're aware of.
You appear to be running cpg1.4.18, while the most recent stable release currently is cpg1.4.19, so you'll need to upgrade first anyway, which makes a backup mandatory as well. Do that first.
