Hi
I want the coppermine filmstrip into the header of my phpBB2 Board.
site is http://www.uilen.eu

I figured i make an extra row and copy the code from the Theme.inc file but that doesnot work.
I did that with the log-in, faq etc. and that worked.
Coppermine is bridged with the forum but i need a special button to enter and i want the visitors see in a glance what new foto's have been added.
Just like the vertical add-on in Nuke

---
So what do i have to copy and adjust to get the filmstrip into the header.

It is not quite as easy as that but there are a fe mods that might do the trick such as this.

Or one of the same authors other excellent works
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

You can do what I did.  I installed rphMedia's Image scroller mod Then I called the .swf file in the header of my phpBB3 board.  This would also work with his other mod, which looks very similar to the film strip. If you ask him nicely, he might strip the reflection on it so that it doesn't take as much vertical space.

Not related to bridging, moving accordingly.

Sorry, guys.

That is not what i mean.If i read this thread i should create a new kind of filmstrip and then embed it into the header.
Most of the example links do not work anymore so i do not know what they mean.

Is embedding the filmstrip a simple solution?
Where can i find the files of the filmstrip?
What code should i embed?

Read through the threads suggested. Although some of the example links don't work all the info on how to achieve it and the required files are still there as attachments.

Here are some examples of other peoples sites using Ron's filmstrip mod.

It just takes a bit of effort to read those threads and try the links as I have done.

What you're up to requires editing of phpBB's code, not the code of coppermine, so you posted in the wrong spot anyway. We can't give you more than what has been said in this thread: there are some mods that deal with content syndication (displaying content taken from coppermine on a non-coppermine driven page). In fact, there's a whole sub-board dedicated to that type of scripts. This is not related to coppermine as far as this support board is concerned: you need to edit phpBB's code to accomplish what you're up to. This is something we're not familiar with.

Your assumption is wrong: you can not simply take snippets out of coppermine's code and just paste it somewhere else and hope that this will miraculously work. Things are not that easy you know: you can't take the hubcap of a Porsche and put it into the trunk of your Toyota, hoping that this will make the Toyota go faster. That's just wishfull thinking, that's all.

I did that -- all 11 pages.
I already saw those two links mentioned but i could not contact clipdin.

You're not suppossed to contact anybody individually! Respect board rules. Story ends here. Locking.
