image with many comments made in short time can be repeated in "last comments" block on frontpage. this can look quite ugly. please fix this bug or add feature so that it is configurable.

It's not a bug. It's called 'last comments' not 'last commented pictures'. To change this, see http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,35240.0.html
