I was wondering if there was a way for 1.4 to mass-update the permissions for the albums so users can upload files.

There is an older post (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=9726.0) talking about how to do it in 1.3 but I didn't know if this method was out-dated or not.

Also, on creating a new album, is it possible to have it automatically enable the option for user uploads?

Okay, I've fixed the default permissions thing, but I'd still like to know if I can set all of the permissions - maybe using a similar SQL query as to the one above :)

The query has remained the same: runUPDATE yourCoppermineTablePrefix_albums SET uploads = 'YES';in a tool like phpMyAdmin to set public uploads to yes for all albums inside your database.
