I have upgraded from 1.4.27.to 1.5.8

http://cameracraniums.com/gallery/

Coppermine 1.5.8 bridged with SMF 1.1.11

I have a series of public albums which my members could upload to.  The album permissions were set so that my members could upload, comment, and rate.  Guests could not upload but only view.

Now after the upgrade when not logged in the "upload file" link is displayed, and it seems they can upload to all the public albums now.

This should be dependent on group settings, and I have guests set to,

Rating  No / Ecards  No / Comments  No
Public albums No / personal gallery No.

I have now had to disable uploads to these albums for my members as well as guests.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have solved the problem by un-bridging and re-bridging using standard groups.

However this doesn't explain why it wouldn't work with with the extra groups enabled.  Settings for guests was exactly the same in the group manager, but reverting back to standard groups works as expected.   ???

I don't have CPG bridged with SMF, so I can just guess. I assume your guests are in more than just one guests group (i.e. in Coppermine's guests group and in SMF's guests group). So you'll have to disallow uploads to all groups your guests 'belong' to.

Thanks again Andre.

I'll check that out.  I'm not aware of guests being part of any other groups, and this wasn't happening before the upgrade.

Like I said, I will check this.

Cheers.
