So if Coppermine is the best media gallery (minus H.264 support), and Joomla is the best CMS, why can't I have the best of both worlds?  What's it going to take for Coppermine to develop a fully supported extension into Joomla?

Let's be frank, how many $USD$ will it take.

I guess this is more a freelancer job than a feature request? Should we move your thread to the 'Looking for Freelancers / Paid help' board?

You can already integrate the two with a bridge. I've been running a site that way for years.

If you are asking for Coppermine to become an extension of Joomla then I very much doubt that is a direction we wish to take this app. Coppermine is a stand alone gallery and should continue that way IMHO. As Andre suggest, you may wish to pay someone to turn it into an extension but I am sure it would be a massive re-write and probably best to start from scratch.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Thank you both for the response.

No need to move the thread, I'll continue to bridge the two.
