Coppermine critical error: Unable to connect to UDB database !

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and vBulletin 3.8.7:

''Coppermine critical error: Unable to connect to UDB database !''

This appeared randomly this evening. I did nothing. I have disabled the Bridge and installed updates to the latest version. When I try to restart the bridgemgr.php this message appears after the final stage

Coppermine version: 1.5.16
Bridging app version: The default one that comes with 1.5.16
Test user account: Not req'd

BridgeManager settings:
Bridge app URL:  http://www.railforums.co.uk/gallery/bridgemgr.php
Relative path to your bridge app's config file:  ../
Cookie name or prefix:  no idea what this means!
Use bridge app custom groups?:  either - happens on both

Everything seems to work as expected for me. Is your issue still valid?
