hallo everybody.

I'm new with Coppermine 1.3

I wish to know 2 things:

1) Is it possible to install 2 coppermine ? (one of the 2 I wish to try to use it as a little Shop. So I think I need some new modules with a new install...)

2) Is it possible to load, insted of pictures, small AVI animations in the main view module of the picture (then I will change the thumbnail via FTP, I think).

Thank you in advance for your help!

Sorry, I don't understand what you're asking. Are you asking if you can upload videos?

usually the usage of the word "module" indicates you're using phpNuke/postNuke or similar. If this is the case. I recommend taking a look at Coppermine for CMS.

TO OMNI

Hallo Omni...

Searching... I found out some post talking about Hack[1.3]... How to realize a small shop using Coppermine.
Questions:
Do I have to install a second copy of all Coppermine?
How it works?

Then yes... I would like to add in the Gallery some little Quicktime AVI movie also... Is it possible? How?

Does exist something written? (as I'm not a programmer... I'm learning... ::)

Thank you in advance

you will be able to run as many instances of coppermine on your webspace as you want, just mae sure the mySQL table prefix you chose during install differs. The hack mentioned will only work with coppermine standalone, not the nuked prot I was linking at. Coppermine standalone 1.3.x comes with built-in multimedia support. It supports various movie file types, including .mov, so you can upload quicktime movies and display it with coppermine.
Just download a copy and give it a try.

Thank you Gau.

Uhm... So is not possible to modify some codes to let it work with the Coppermine Module?
Is it the same with movie files?

As most of it, it's completly new for me...
Is it possible to install the full version of Coppermine on my website? ::)
together with PHP-Nuke?
Or the full version is a complete webportal?

...(i'm sorry for just probably stupid questions. But I would like to learn)

Thanks in advance.

Those question will get you nowhere. You can not use coppermine standalone with a nuked page, not in a hundred years. That's why there is a nuked version of Coppermine. Go to http://www.nukephotogallery.com now as suggested, download a copy, install it on your webserver and see how it works and what it can already do. Go to the nuke support board if you have questions (again: on nukephotogallery.com). Let's stop those theoretical questions now, they won't give you any more insigt. Just try the software.
