Sort Order

I have a question about the default sort order for the Galleries. I would like it to sort alphabetically by Category instead of Sub-Category. What do I need to change to get the below results? The site is www.guitaristworks.com.

Categories aren't being sorted automatically at all, you (as admin) have to sort it. Use the "Categories" link from the admin menu. This is in the documentation: http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#cat_cp

My first post was wrong. I do not have sub-categories. I meant to say albums!

I created two Categories for example : Carvin and Fender for example. In both of  those categories I have 3 albums, Acoustic, Amps and Electric.  It is just sorting by the albums instead of by category.

The same thing I said about categories applies to albums as well: they don't get sorted automatically, you have to sort them manually (by default, they're sorted in the order you create them). See http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#albmgr

Do you mean that you want the album titles sorted in the dropdown boxes?  If so, on which pages?  I suggest searching for Frogfoot's fancy album sort mod.

Exactly. The Galleries are sorted correctly on the main page. However when you upload and have to choose which album you want the picture to go into, they are sorted alphabetically by album and not category. As you can see by the screen shot from above, it would be better to sort by Category down than Album down.

So has anyone seen that mod laying around anywhere lol? I looked under the couch and refrigerator and a few other places with no luck.
