Yes, you can use Coppermine Photo Gallery for free. You can get the latest version, 1.3.2 on the downloads page: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=89658

After extracting the archived files, please read the instructions in the docs folder to proceed with the installation process.

Please do not use the marquee formatting. It is annoying and difficult to read. I have editted your post to remove it.

What did you click on and what is confusing you? Are you confused about opening compressed files?

I clicked on the number you said. Then after all this clicking it talks about mirrors. Then when I clicked on one, it said it cost 150 + dollars. Why does this gotta be so hard?

Please do not expect people to respond to you within 5 minutes of your post. This is not a hotline. If you don't get responses within days, then you could bump the post, but not after minutes.

Additionally, please do not post a question and then PM the same question to supporters. Unless they OK you to do so, do not PM supporters questions that could be asked in the forums.

Kayla

Um.....all I wanted was my question answered!

You probably clicked on something in the Host column on the left and saw advertising for one of those companies. Click on the file icon in the right-hand column.

Kayla

It says this:

You are requesting file: /coppermine/cpg1.3.2.zip
Please select a mirror

When you click on http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/coppermine/cpg1.3.2.zip?download it should automatically ask you to save/open a file. Only if you have problems do you choose a mirror, which is a server that contains the same file for download. If you need to use a mirror, choose one that is located near you.

Kayla

I have downloaded it. But i don't know how to use win zip. WHY DOES THIS GOTTA BE SO HARD?I have a photobucket account but It does not have a name that goes with my site. Do you know any other FREE photo galleries?

Try a google search for photo gallery software or something similar.  Have you looked at Yahoo Photo?

Coppermine is intended for people who have administrator access to a web server and are familiar with building or maintaining websites.  What are you trying to do with Coppermine?  Do you have a web server or a hosted account?  If you can detail what you'd like your Coppermine website to look like, you could post in the Freelancers board and offer to pay someone to configure it all for you, then you wouldn't have to worry about Winzip or any of the technical details.  Once it's up and running, Coppermine is a breeze to use and maintain, but the installation and configuration does require some techncial know-how.

Stop shouting!!! More than half a million people are using this software and loving it. You have a basic misunderstanding of what this does - this is free photo gallery software which you can put on your own server on the web it is NOT a free photo hosting service.

This is so hard becuase you are not willing to do even the basic work that is expected of you  >:( >:(

Hmm,  it always asks me to select a mirror, and I have no problems..
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

I enjoyed it so much, I registered just so I could respond!  ;D
If it were not for the last minute, nothing would ever get done.
