Hi, all.

How do I create another member's album ?
Just like private album.

Or,
May I create a private category?
Members will be admin in their private categories.

Thanks!

Joachim Müller

"Private" as opposed to "publicly accessible" or "Private" meaning "album in user gallery"? Please take (another) look into the coppermine docs that come with the package (inside the docs folder), or browse them "online", using the "Documentation" link at the top of this page.
Regular users never are admins though, they just have the privilege to do certain things inside their user gallery they aren't allowed to do in public categories (like creating albums). Mixing up the terms is not very helpfull.

I means:

I want to creat a category, then let one user to manager the category (like creating sub-category, albums, upload images...).
Can I do this?

kegobeer

Only admins can create categories and public albums - normal users can only create albums inside their personal galleries.
Do not send me a private message unless I ask for one.  Make your post public so everyone can benefit.

There are no stupid questions
But there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots

Is there any mod can do this?

Because I want some user to help me to manage my site,
but "administrator group" is too powerfull.

Is there any other solution?

Joachim Müller

no, not yet. Some sort of "moderator" group is being considered, but there's no code yet, and I doubt there will be in the next coppermine release.

like I said: it won't be in the next coppermine release, the feature is just being considered for the future, but the developer who originally planned to implement this feature (hyperion) has retired for personal reasons. No saying when or if it's actually going to be done.
