Hello,

at first I have to say sorry for my bad english.
I have the following problem.

I use the coppermine gallery. the gallery generates very much klicks, but there are no persons on the site.

The link to the gallery: http://www.snow online.de/specials/galerien/index.php

My server-admin drew the attention of me to the fact that probably opened from our account partly up to 80 database-connections, but not again became closed. can be connected with it?

Thanks you for your assistance.

Greetings

Flo

I guess the link should actually be http://www.snow-online.de/specials/galerien/index.php?lang=english ...
I'm not sure what you mean by
Quotethe gallery generates very much klicks
, but I suggest you take a look at your server logs to actually see where people go. If they don't participate in your community (they don't actually post images, comment or vote), there's litlle we (as developers of the software) can do about it, it's more a question of what kind of audience your site attracts, what content you have and how much you promote this content from other pages.
Please re-phrase your question so we can see what the actual problem (software-related) is.

Let me put this in other words: if you doubt the hits meter of coppermine is correct, you're advised to check your server logs.

I checked the serverlogs and I saw, that I don't have so much clicks on the gallery like the coppermine-counter shows me.
logfiles: 500 clicks
Coppermine: 15.000 clicks

thanks

did you apply any code changes (to the coppermine core code) except your theme customization?

another thing that comes to mind: do you use an indexing tool to build a site search, like htdig - maybe this is causing your hits number?

Joachim

snowflow

yes, I use an extern site-search-service
i will stop that. maybe that was the cause of my problems.

but I don't know why it generates so much clicks ???

Joachim Müller

indexing services cause of course a lot of traffic and hits, as all meta albums get indexed as well.
