Hello When i try to upload to my Server it says Exceeded filesize permitted by CPG.

Can Anyone help me out?

Nibbler

Check your config settings, one them of them is restricting your upload.

You need to learn to help yourself by doing a search, specifically for the error message. Exceeded filesize permitted

There are a couple of threads marked solved. You should go through them to see which applies.

Reading the documentation will also help.

OMFG,... I did a search for exactly this " Exceeded filesize permitted by CPG " and this thread had a Relevance of %35.6 and this is the responses i get.

I guess doing a seach isnt all that effective if somone else posted a fix somewhere with a topic other then my problem.
So why doesnt someone just answer the question.

Here's my SEARCH Results http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?PHPSESSID=99109e398b29251f82e7de2a2fa585fd&action=search2

Hmm,.. I wonder which one of the other topics will solve my issue since the people who have already posted here were to damn lazy to help someone even if it is posted somewhere else.

Geez.

kegobeer

The documenatation didn't shed any light on how to increase the maximum file size and file dimensions for an uploaded image?

And about my being lazy: I will certainly read the documentation to you, but it will cost you $500, just like my signature says, numbnuts.  If you won't read the documentation that comes with Coppermine, who's the lazy one?  ???

I just glad i got more going on in my life then to know coppermine inside and out like I'm guessing you do LOL.

Show me where in the Docs it says anything about the error message http://pictures.kazebeer.com/coppermine/docs/

I guess i can't be to lazy if i came all the way to this forum, registered, waited for email confirmation and posted my message.

LOL lets look at yourself. 2605 posts (4.257 per day). LMAO. how many of those posts are useless bandwidth taking up BS?

Well anyway I've spent enough time here, Time to be effective.

I guess you'll be sticking around then eh?  :o

BTW I was messing with the figures in the Config under Files and Thumbnail settings, for Max size for uploaded files (KB) i changed it to 5000 and now it works just fine. This may help someone in the Future.

Wow, I believe you just won the award for being the most ungrateful user of any open source application. What an honor for our project to have such a user. :P

I hope your kids show you the same disrespect and ingratitude you show to the volunteer developers and supporters of this project.

volunteer developers and supporters of this project.

LOL, With that type of support i wouldnt pay him either. But thank you for the free script.

kegobeer

Here you go, smartass.  Right from the documentation:

Max size for uploaded files (KB)
Any file with a file size larger than this value will be rejected by the script.

True, the error message isn't in there, but most people don't have any problems putting two and two together.  There's always the exception that makes the rule, right?
