Hello,

Fist off, thanks for the work on Coppermine.   I just installed it and am really looking forward to getting it going for the members of my club.

It all works good and i was going to try and bridge it so that my users can just log in once and not have to reregister.

What I'm wondering is if it is possible to bridge Coppermine to a forum that is in it's own subdomain?

coppermine -> http://www.40kfightclub.com/imagegallery
forums -> http://forum.40kfightclub.com/

now the forum is logically installed under www.40kfightclub.com/forum/ and when I do things through Coppermine, it throws me back to things like that.    Also, I'm getting it to direct me to my actual hosting address as opposed to the domain, so it's going to fclub.lrehosting.com/login.php and such things.

I've followed the directions in the install manual about briding and that was all pretty straight forward, but the subdomain section is messing me up.   I'm sure it has something to do with the line : define('PHPBB_WEB_PATH', '/forum/');    but not sure how or where to adjust this.

I've searched the forums for this and have found similar items on two subdomains and such, but nothing that really answered the question.

If you need me to provide a testing account let me know, but hopefully this is just something that I'm overlooking.

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated, even if it is "can't be done", then at least I could stop obsessing over it and just work on obsessing over something else  ;)

Thanks again

subdomains are different domains - cookies can not be read from different domains, but only from those domains that actually wrote the cookie. When using subdomains, you have to make sure the cookies are readible from everywhere. In your case: coppermine must be able to read your bbs' cookie. Usually, you set your phpbb cookie domain to .yourdomain.tld (mind the dot at the start), then you edit your bridge file to reflect the cookie change.
