While installing a phpBB forum on the same database, I made a silly error in erasing the mysql database. Yeah, I forgot that coppermine resides on there too!!

Am I going to have to download the albums, reinstall coppermine from scratch to rebuild the database, and have to upload all the photos again? My host is 1and1 and they are notorious for have awful support. If I asked them for a backup, it might take several weeks for a reply, and probaly telling me they do not have one :(

Thanks.

Just delete the install.lock file in the include directory and run install.php again.  You'll have to batch add your pictures but you don't have to upload them again.

Wow, thanks.

Probably a dumb question, but what do you mean by batch add?

You should take a few minutes and read the documentation that comes with Coppermine.

batch-adding won't work if he didn't ftp-upload the pics in the first place, as they will then reside in the userpics folder, which is hidden on the batch-add screen. You will have to modify searchnew.php and get rid of the blocking of the userpics folder to make this work.

Or rename your userpics folder to something else and create a new folder named 'userpics'.
