OK well I've looked all over the boards and no solution, although its a recurring problem

I try installing coppermine all my information is correct but i keep getting the errors

Could not create a mySQL connection, please check the SQL values entered

MySQL error was : Access denied for user: 'nikki@localhost' (Using password: YES)

I've been trying to solve this problem for days now so I'd appreciate any help

You would need to ask your webhost for the correct settings since we aren't going to know.

correct settings for what? I'm the one that created the db and what not so I'm pretty sure I know what it is and what not.

ok well i did the connection test...Everything worked out perfectly

I've had a problem with new installs of mysql forcing the new password encyrption which fouls up many applications such as coppermine.

I suspect that your issue is slightly different, but it wouldn't hurt to verify.

ill try this of course, but I've never had ANY problems like this before, I've used coppermine before (that was at least 6 months ago) so I wasnt expecting any problems but yeah I was wrong apparently
