Hi Frantz,

It is said in this topic (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=12972.msg59055#msg59055) that Coppermine will use the SMF members' table and the SMF's login/logout function to control Coppermine members.  So I presume that to have acces to those informations from SMF, Coppermine have to have access to the file /Settings.php from your SMF forum.  However, I don't think it is possible to execute PHP code hosted on a different webserver :-\\

In the French topic, you said that your SMF installation is working at http://myforum.com and your Coppermine one, http://mygallery.com.  Coppermine and SMF have their own domain names, but are they hosted on two different servers?  If not, it might be possible to access your SMF directory using the absolute paths.  But I cannot help on that :-[
Searching the forum, I also found this topic: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=9237.0  But they both share the same domain name, they only have different sub-domains, and I think the two applications are hosted on the same server

I also found the following reply: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=8433.msg37606#msg37606.  It is said that since the cookies are shared between Coppermine and the forum (in this thread, it is PhpBB, but it surely also apply to SMF), the two apps have to have the same domain name.  And, sadly, http://myforum.com and http://mygallery.com are totally different domain names.

(I hope for you that someone else will contradict what I said :P )

It's possible, but not using the existing coppermine bridging system.
