Okay, I had my copy of Coppermine installed by web host and I set it up, configured it and everything ran smoothly. I've uploaded some pictures to it and now I want my friends to see them but when I provide a link all they see is my sponsors at the top of the page and nothing else. I had a look through the FAQ but didn't see anything revelant so I thought I'd ask it here. If there is a file I need to change the Unix permissions of would someone please point me to it.

Any help greatly appreciated,

  Thanks  :)

Do not send me a private message unless I ask for one.  Make your post public so everyone can benefit.

Did you put that header crap into your template, or did you edit any of the files and put that crap in there?  If not, you need to ask your host about it.

I didn't edit the header at all... It came as a theme that was already with it called "hardwired".
I can't think of anything else that I've done to change it, other than change the UNIX permissions so I could upload images...

Then your host edited the theme.  Ask them why it doesn't work.

I don't see any coppermine code in the source at all. The docs folder is intact, though, so the installation would seem to be there... somewhere.

And I think it's an Adsense policy violation to put ads where there is no content...

ah, the joys of free webhosting ::) . Those jerks probably re-write the page header, many other free webhosters do so as well. The site owner is recognized by the cookie on his machine, so he can see the page as expected, all others only see crap. Try clearing your cookies, then you'll probably see the page in the same way your friends do. Imo there's no other option than switching webhosts, best option would be paid webhosting ;).
