ok i did the bridging it worked. But the existing albums remain but they display wrong name lol
for example a user bob who had is album now the album exists but it belongs to user Mark for example lol
how to fix this ?

Nibbler

That's expected behaviour if you bridged when you already had users.

5.2.3 Coppermine users, groups and pics uploaded by users are lost when integrating

Warning: If you already have users and custom groups in your coppermine database when you enable bbs integration, be aware that they will be lost. If your coppermine users have already created private albums and uploaded pics to them, they will be lost as well

Konstantinos

So i guess the only way is to start all over right ? Fresh install bridging and then tell my users to recreate the albums?

Nibbler

Not the only way, but the easiest unless you are good with phpmyadmin.

Konstantinos

i am good
tell me what to change and i will do it

Nibbler

You need to copy your coppermine users from the cpg_users table into the forum's user table, making sure you keep the userids the same.

Konstantinos

hmm but this will mess their posts in the forums

Konstantinos

ok i did a bit complicated but i did it. u need to use also mybb merge users function then create a new user etc but its ok , i didnt loose the private albums

@Nibbler: isn't myyb bridging cpg1.4.x only? If yes, then this support request has been posted in the wrong board (or rather: shouldn't be there at all).

Nibbler

It's a generic question, the thread is relevant to any bridge in any version.
