I am trying to install coppermind and i cant get past the my sql information Does this information have to be obtained through my webhost? Are there any tutorials on this?

Nibbler

You need to obtain the correct details from your host.

You should also read the documentation before attempting to install Coppermine.
Do not send me a private message unless I ask for one.  Make your post public so everyone can benefit.

There are no stupid questions
But there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots

You need to create a mySQL database on your web server. You will then need to have a username/password set-up to access the created mySQL database.

During the install process (install.php), you will need to enter the mySQL database name, username, and password into the form. Click "Let's Go" and you're set!!
Please do not PM me with support questions. Please read the manual and then if posting questions please place them in the proper sub-boards.

when webhosted, you usually can't install mySQL, nor create a database. Ask your webhost for support.

Hallo, I'a from Poland and have similar problem to Briko03.
A couple of days I'm looking for information about MySQL configuration for CPG, exactly table configuration (how many columns/rows are reguired, types, long, attributs ect.). First of all I set data base im MySQL on my server but stopped on it. I know that in install.php some data are necessary including above mentioned.
I already asked my webhost but got any help.
The CPG is very interesting solution even in small frames like I would.  :(
Help me please or point the place where I could read interesting me information.

Nibbler

You don't make the tables youself, you just run the installer.

Nibbler, You are Great! Thanks. I've received a message "Instalation completed" :-) So I'm going on.
