My gallery is inside a frame and the board does not remember my login info.  I have to re-login every time I load the page.  This was not an issue in version 1.3.  Is there any info from my server I can provide to help?

Link and test account would be a good start.

weinman

I'd prefer to keep my gallery private, can I email you (and any of the interested developers) the link and test account privately?

marking this thread as "Invalid" then, as it probably is a pilot error.

This is still a problem.  Nibbler tried to help, but from an apple machine, he did not see frames - my link opened a new window, therefore the cookies worked.  I have only tried from various IE machines, all of which see the frame and do not properly read the cookies.

If someone wants to test it from an IE machine, I'll privately email them my gallery location, as I did for NIbbler.

Thanks!!

I noticed in 1.4.2, the issue of frames has been resolved.  I have had no problem with cookies in either of the IE machines I normally login from.

Thanks!

There never have been issues with frames afaik, as coppermine doesn't specify a target attribute, so all links from within coppermine should open in the frame. There are thousand of coppermine sites using frames, especially those who use pnCPG, and I haven't heard of frames being broken. How should cookies relate to frames?

weinman

I don't know enough to explain myself well enough; in fact it's probably a miracle I've been able to get CPG up and running on my own!

Anyway, I assumed the script used cookies to "remember" me when I logged back in.  I also assumed the fact that I had the gallery nested within a frame that might have been the cause of the script "not" remembering me on subsequent visits.

Anyway, during the few months of using beta 1.4.1, it never remembered me.  Since installing release 1.4.2, it's not forgotten me.

Thanks for the great program!

Ah, 'remember me' was broken in the original beta, it has since been fixed.

I'm not sure if you're goofing on me, since my original reporting of this problem was labeled "invalid," but I'll assume what you're saying is true, since my problem has vanished.

The bug report that lead to the fix is here: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=20658.0

If you compare that thread with this one you can probably see why I was able to fix the issue based on that report but was unable even to locate what the problem was by reading this report.

Also I don't have an apple, I run linux.
