edit:  Oops, I accidently made the title the wrong thing, this is the actual error code:
"Net Reset Error
The document contains no data"

I get this error in firefox when I upload more than a few files.

Here is my debug info from before I actually hit the upload button:

I think it may be some setting my host has enabled that isn't allowing that much data to be uploaded at once, but I'm just not sure.  I tried searching these forums for someone with the same error, but I wasn't able to find a match.

Here is the address to my site:  www.danieljanderson.com

I made test username:  test   p/w: test1234

Thank you.

I'm often time able to upload a few pictures, but I'm unable to do ten at a time, which is what I want to be be able to do.

kegobeer

This might be a timeout issue, which can controlled by limiting the number of upload boxes to less than 10.  If you have access to php.ini, you can fiddle around with various settings (see the FAQ.)

As a side note: the admin should FTP images and then batch add them.  You can do a lot more than ten images at a time.
Do not send me a private message unless I ask for one.  Make your post public so everyone can benefit.

There are no stupid questions
But there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots

Here is the error I'm getting with IE:  The page cannot be displayed

So you're probably right, it is just a timeout issue which stinks because I pretty much have no control over that (it's being hosted remotely by www.powweb.com)

I know that I can batch add files, but unfortunately the users can't and I wanted them to be able to add ten at time.  I guess I'll just have to lower it.

even you as admin have uploaded all you files into the user galleries section, which is not a good idea. As a workaround for having no actual public categories and albums, you have a splash page that redirects to the user galleries. In fact you don't have so many users yet who actually upload (well, one except you and the test user account I used to upload). Not a very good setup imo, but not related to your issues however.

I never intended for my site to be widely used by the masses, just for me and a few of my friends at most really.  I don't have the webspace for that (I'm currrently limited to 5 gigs).  What's wrong with me (as admin) uploading my files in the user galleries section?  What would be a better setup?  (please exuse my newbishness)

Thanks.

Joachim Müller

create categories and albums using the "categories" and "albums" links in your admin menu. The admin is not only just another user. This issue is however not related to the rest of this thread, but something else. Please read the docs to find out more, and take a look at the demo. Marking this thread as solved, please start another thread if you have further questions on general gallery setup.
