Are you self hosted?  Is your server on your personal PC?
Do not send me a private message unless I ask for one.  Make your post public so everyone can benefit.

create an album first. Read the docs - there you'll find what to do to trouble-shoot uploading. Do as suggested there.

Peter,

Did you create an categories and/or albums to put your pics in ?  NOT directory and folders in your physical website, but albums in your gallery?  You do this by clicking on the ALBUMS button on the admin menu strip. Then follow the steps outlined in the DOCS that are included in the Coppermine Install.

You cannot add pics to your CPGallery until you at least have an album in it.

Learn and live ... In January of 2011, after a botched stent attempt, the doctors told me I needed a multiple bypass surgery or I could die.  I told them I needed new doctors.

This appears to be a server configuration issue - since you're self hosted I can't give you any real recommendations.  MySQL crashed and now Coppermine doesn't work when connections are attempted from client machines.  Looks like you have to figure out why that's happening and then figure out how to fix it.
