Hi

I've got some really big problems with my gallery. when I load the gallery i takes about 20 sec. before the page shows. It's all the pages also the ones without pictures (admin pages).

i debug mode i get this:

==========================
Page generated in 22.529 seconds - 287 queries in 0.639 seconds - Album set :

The page is www.dybromikkelsen.dk/billeder/

its running on a iis 6.0, windows server 2003 EE, with php 5.01 and mysql 5.0 on an 2x466 intel pentium with 768 Mb RAM, maybe its just overloading the server to run the scripts, but when loading I cannot see any notisable change in CPU load and memory.

Hope someone can help

improper server setup imo. Self-hosting is not recommended. Your hardware and software doesn't match at all.

Hi

Thanks for the quick response. I know that my software is a bit over the top on my server, but silly me I maybe thought that maybe there was a little more power left in my computer. But thinking about installing an SME server on it instead, should work. But just one question then. Can I at all use my server for this gallery, or should I find a computer with more power than the one I have.

Or an easier question, what is the requirement for this gallery servervise if I want to host about 1000-1500 pic. with about 15 users (just family), it ok to be slow but 22 sek for one page is to much :)

again thanks for the help

then why do you reply to a cpg1.3.x thread that deals with self-hosting? Thread locked.
