Newbie with mySQL ...help??

This may sound incredibly dumb, but i'm very new to this ... I'm trying to install the coppermine script, and understand most of the installation, but somethings wrong with my database it seems. There's a prefix or something like that, and i'm not sure what to do with it. It doesn't reconize my database name, can anyone help me out? I deleted all files now, and want to start fresh again. Maybe someone's willing to help me set this thing up! LOL I'd appreciate it, thanks!

chmod your include directory to 777

delete install.lock and config.inc.php if they are there

re-install, give it the proper mysql settings, and leave the prefix to the default.

after installation, chmod the include directory back to 755
