I can not insert chinese words to the database.what can I do?
CPG1.4.4 Stable that downloads in the official site installs to the XP+APACHE2+MYSQL5.0.18+PHP5.0 environment in order. Imput page layout ./install.php and then infilling database content,it will successfully install.
This release  chooses Chinese interface. My problem is cann't imput Chinese words into the database. Titles only use English words or number.Once changes Chinese words,database displays query is wrong.
For example,It has a add album window,when I hit "add",Chinese character"new album" that is displayed at the top of window.At this time,hit the "modify" refering,but database displays query wrong.No other than putting Chinese words changes into English or number,it can insert into the database.CPG1.3.5 can't happen to this thing in order.But CPG1.3.5 suit PHP4.1

Other:CPG1.4.4 doesn't quite suitPHP5.0. After installing CPG1.3.5 ./install.php and finishing imputing database content,hit "Let's go".
QuoteCoppermine requires that the php.ini setting 'register_long_arrays' is enabled in order to work with PHP 5.

Once you are done, hit the "Try again" button.
I change php.ini
Quote;     information.
  register_long_arrays = On    [Performance]
;     Disables registration of the older (and deprecated) long predefined array
;     variables ($HTTP_*_VARS).  Instead, use the superglobals that were
Restart APACHE.but still can't install CPG1.3.5------display to the former place.
   ;)  Why?   ;)

stick to one issue per thread please. Regarding your chinese char issue: post the actual error message (not the debug_output) you get when entering chinese chars into a form field and submitting (enable debug_mode in coppermine's config first). A link to your page might help as well.
Keep cpg1.3.x stuff on the board dedicated to it.
