I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I just started using coppermine and I've added a Tagbox to it it's a free flat file tagbox no mySQL database needed.
here is the url to my Coppermine Image Gallery.

Nice. Perhaps you can write up instructions on how to do this and then we can move this to the mods board.

Ok here we go I'm not very good at giving instructions if you have ny problems with them please let me know.

First you need to get the Tagbox 1.31.6 from  http://www.j-fx.ws/?fx=premade [Edit GauGau] As suggested later in this thread, the tagbox script is no longer available on that URL. Use the version I attached to my posting in this thread [/Edit] and then get the modified php files from the help section,
This is so you can convert the Tagbox from Virtical to horizontal.
Upload the tagbox to your server follow the instructions that come with the tagbox.

Adding the Tagbox to Coppermine depending on which theme you are using.
Go to the theme folder find the template for the theme you are using and open it in an html editer

add <iframe src="http://yourdomain/tagbox/index.php" width="100%" height="150" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

on the line above  {VANITY} this is at the very bottom of the Template file

Before doing this make a backup copy of the template file

I'm using the Fruty Theme and I first put the iframe above {VANITY}. Then I move the Iframe around until I found the right place for me
you may have to do the same depending on which theme you are using.

You will have to go into the config.php in Tagbox and change a few things, there are instructions there.

You will also have to open default.css and change the colours to match the theme you are using.
you may also want to change the size of the input boxes as well.

I'm not very good with php I learn from other people and by my own mistakes.

ah OK, the tagbox is actually another shoutbox script. Your instructions are OK imo, thanks for writing them down. In case someone is having issues finding the proper download link on the page you specified I attached version 1.31.6 of the tagbox script to this posting, however you (as user reading this thread for a first time) should try to find the most recent version on the page keithbro refered to first.
Renaming this thread for easier tracking. Thanks again.

This is nice. It is easy to edit and place within Coppermine. I Stuck with the vertical shoutbox on the fruity theme just under the sys_menu buttons. It fit the overall theme better (I thought). I Didn't like the order of the input fields, so I changed them. Otherwise it was easy to incorperate into Coppermine. To See how it looks vertically (on the fruity theme) you can visit http://www.danksite.com. Thank you for your contribution keithbro!!!

I have used this, and added it to my anycontent.php so that it is accessible for all my installed themes. (I was actually quite proud that I figured most of it out! lol) The only drawback to that is customizing the css for all themes, so I left it at the default.  ;)  Thank-you for a great Mod.  ;D

Hi,

I have succesfully added tagbox to my website as a guestbook. I have embedded into a my site using the mimicms plugin. I am getting a problem where my page does not display all messages, and some are hidden off the screen. Can anyone help. Not sure if its a tagbox related setting/scripting or minicms?

Website www.onlineweddinggallery.co.uk
username at prompt: test
password: wedding

At bottom right, Links menu, follow guestbook link.

No login is required to my coppermine, just the website login specified above.

Thanks,

Hi guys

Can anyone help me on making the tagbox show on a separate page so I can add a link to my main menu instead of adding it to my template.html

Thanks :D

Nibbler

It already is on a separate page - http://yourdomain/tagbox/index.php

It appears that this tagbox (Tagbox 1.3, 1.4 etc) is no longer available, as the website for the download (http://www.j-fx.ws/) is now a junk internet directory.

See Joachim's post. You can download it from there.
