I have an ENORMOUS gallery and I wanted to integrate a BB, but it's not gonna be trafficed enough to warrant installing a seperate BB program. I had that for about a month and it was just not useful. Is there anyway to get a mini BB in my coppermine gallery? or vice-versa? so it'd all be on the same page without having to mess with the albums. Laid out like:
-Random Pictures
-Album list
-mini forum
-last uploaded

Does this make any sense?

Do you want someone to suggest a simple BB program to integrate with?

or

Do you want help creating a simple BB-style comment system in Coppermine?

If the latter, you need to describe precisely what you want.  What beyond the comments already in Coppermine do you want?  The comments in Coppermine of course are photo-specific.  Do you want something similar in content but expanded to show up on whole albums, whole categories, whole gallery?  If the latter is what you are interested in, we should move this thread to another board, either the misc. board or the plugin board.  Do you have any programming skills to write the system yourself?

I won't be able to create anything of my own. I know eaxactly enough about this stuff to install and make small trial and error modifications to templates and stuff without always creating a huge mess. :)

I guess suggestions would be best. The BB i had before was phpbb2, and I'm running one of those on another site, but I just don't see having a stand alone forum as feasible. I'm not even really sure what bridging a forum and a gallery would mean other than having the same users. I'm looking for somethignb VERY simple that could share the same page as my gallery.

my site: http://nicepiece.org/gallery It's all SFW, unless you login.

I guess if there was something slightly more complicated than a shoutbox that'd do.

i really like IPB. there is alot that you can do with them :)

ask several people on this site what BBS they prefer and you'll get different answers depending on their taste and what experiences they have made in the past. If you ask me, I'd of course recommend SMF.
If you already are an experienced phpBB user I recommend sticking with it.

@apocalypse: IPB isn't free, so it might be overkill to recommend a commercial BBS for what furiofan is up to. We (as OpenSource developers) tend to recommend OpenSource apps.
