I'm trying to move my recently installed CPG / YaBBSE 1.5.4 bridged gallery from http://www.foo.com/gallery  to  http://gallery.foo.com

The problem is that the pics and links look fine but CPG thinks I am a guest and only offers "Login". I login and go back and it still thinks I'm a guest.

Any suggestions how to force the subdomain to be recognised please ?

Thanks

Try clearing your browser's cookies and be sure that yabbse and coppermine have different cookie names.
Read the Online DOCs, FAQ, and SEARCH the board BEFORE posting questions for help.

Hi zarsky99,

Thanks for the suggestion.

I tried it but it still doesn't recognise me when I go to the subdomain, I just get "Login" whic then takes me back to YaBBSE.
The cookies definitely different.

Is there a settings file that would dictate the url of the gallery ?

if I remember it correctly there have been cookie issues related to subdomains with yabbse - please search the yabbse board...
I've experienced problems with this as well in the past, and I've decided for myself: although subdomains have some advantages (search engine friendliness etc.) their usage sucks because of cookie issues with several pre-written scripts (e.g. cpg and yabbse), so I don't use them.

Hi gaugau,

Thanks for the reply.
I already have that covered. I previously installed a mod on the forum that makes the cookie for YaBBSE global but I will have a chat with the guys at YaBBSE and see if they can throw any light on the problem.

Thanks again
