I'm trying to install coppermine on my localhost but I keeps giving me the following error:

Could not create a mySQL connection, please check the SQL values entered

MySQL error was : Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

I filled i the fields like this:

MySQL Host Localhost
MySQL Database Name cop
MySQL Username root
MySQL Password
MySQL table prefix cpg143_

The MySQL database is created and name cop. Could any one help me on this one.

how did you fix this? I'm having the same problem..

moshi

having the same problem. What's the fix for this?

Joachim Müller

wrong combination of the mysql data entered is the reason for the error message the initial poster got, probably for you as well. You can't make this up, you have to know the data. Username "root" with an empty password is a no-no, even on localhost.
There's no generic "fix" for this error message, there's little point to reply to this thread. Circle just failed to post the obvious.
