Hey everyone. I was curious. Is there a way to strip down this gallery to make it easier to use? I installed an early version of 1.2 a couple of months back. I like all the control it gives you as an admin but it's confusing to use to view images with. There are too many galleries, sub galleries, random images going all over the place. The members of my board didn't use it because they didn't like the way it worked and I agree to an extent. There is too much clicking to get to the final big image. Plus too much text and stats and icons all over the place.

Is there anyway to make coppermine gallery act more like pbase.com galleries? Simple and stripped down but still be able to maintain the more advanced admin functions?

Here is my pbase gallery for example: http://www.pbase.com/roxics

I guess what I'm really asking is that is there anyway to clean up the interface and take off some of the things.

For instance. In the demo gallery going here the second gallery is called "food". All four images below that are the subgalleries of that gallery. Is there anyway to not show them on the front page so you have to click on "food" to see them?

Also is there anyway to get rid of "Random pictures " and "Last additions " on the sub category page?

maybe you should start reading the documentation that comes with coppermine, especially the bit about "content of the main page" - thank you for reading before asking  ...

Honestly I never would have found that if you hadn't showed it. Thank you. Sometimes it's easier to just ask.

the documentation comes with the coppermine package you downloaded. Of course it's easier for you this way, but not easier for me, as I have to repeat it to everyone who is to lazy to even read a readme...
Imagine, there are people actually complaining I sometimes sound rude - does it make you wonder...?

You don't have to repeat it. You're just being a nice guy.

Hmm... How about a policy of devs not answering questions like these which are answered in the Docs - would like to extend that to the FAQ once it is plain HTML.

Of Course others on the forum are free to answer them....
