Hi,
I would like only registered users to see the albums. However if I make all my albums private they are still listed in the category list on the front page (not the name and details of the albums appear but their number on the list.

When I then click on the category I get a nust php-error.

I would be nice if the number of albums and photos on the category-list could reflect the number of items the user is allowed to see. And if there is no album in a certain category the user is alowed to see there should be no link used for this category.

Any comments and suggestions on this ?

Tom

P.S. What would be really also a nice feature if I could choose for an private album wether it should appear in the overview (as a teaser) and if user without priviledges click on the album they get a nice page saying, they should register or contact the site admin in order to get permission to this album ...

Please search the board first before posting, this has been asked (and answered) already.

As always: a link would help us to tell if a specific problem exists with your coppermine install or wether you just haven't figured out coppermine config.

Please do only post one issue per thread, not various...

sorry I did use the search but did not find a solution - it is not always easy to use the right words to find answers in such forums.

Anyway, I got rit of the php error (that's the part I found in the search). But still the listing of the albums is wrong - IMHO this is more a bug than a feature request and should be somehow solved - if really nobody got this problem as of now and there is no answer to it I will look myself ( and post the solution here ) - but since I am new to CPG this would take lots of my time - that's why I am asking you guys here for help - even partial answers might shorten my way to get it done ...

At the time of the original posting my CPG site which is still under development was just on my local computer - I now uploaded it to a temporary online-directory so you can have a look at it:

I put three albums there in two categories - two are private - when you click on 2004 you will read "1 albums on 1 page(s)" but won't see any. So public users should not even see the numbers of private albums and it possible get no link to it - or a link which than states "sorry no public album in this category ..."

This site is only temporary and will be removed in a few weeks again - so if you read this post after February 2004 the link might be gone ...

I don't get the point - in the page you provided a link to, I can see the "private" icon for the albums I'm supposed not to see. If you want to hide them completely, you have to set the option "Show private album Icon to unlogged user" to "no" in coppermine config.

Oh sorry - I actually do not like to see the private-Icon - but I made it visible last night to be able to edit something with the admin-User.
Now it is back the original way ...

Thanks again and I apologize for my mistake.
