Hey Peeps,

I have just installed both Coppermine and also SMF RC2 and tried to bridge them using the coppermine bridge manager.  All goes well except for that i can't seem to get the relative path right, i get the error below although the folder format is exactly the same as the example given by the program.

You need to correct these errors before you can continue. Go to the previous screen.
../forum/Settings.php doesn't exist. Correct the value you entered for Relative path to your BBS's config file

Honestly i've searched the entire forum and tried all the tricks i could find but its still a problem :-(.

Hey,

Sorry Nibbler, my bad (lesson learnt).

Addition to the first post

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and SMF RC2:

You need to correct these errors before you can continue. Go to the previous screen.
../forum/Settings.php doesn't exist. Correct the value you entered for Relative path to your BBS's config file

Coppermine install: http://viperpurple.t35.com/cpg144/
Forum install: http://viperpurple.t35.com/forum/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.4
Forum version: SMF RC2
Test user account: test66 / test66

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://viperpurple.t35.com/forum
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../forum/
Use post-based groups?:  0 (N/A)

Determine the absolute path to the forum directory and try that instead.

viperpurple

I've just tried the absolute path and i get the same error.

http://viperpurple.t35.com/forum/Settings.php doesn't exist. Correct the value you entered for Relative path to your BBS's config file

relative path = http://viperpurple.t35.com/forum/

The file settings.php is in that location as i have checked several times via ftp

Any more ideas as i'm definatly in over my head

An absolute path would be something like /home/viperpurple/public_html/forum/. You should be able to find it on the phpinfo.php page in Coppermine.

viperpurple

I've just found the root folder address from phpinfo.php and inserted it into the 'relative path', however i get the same error about the file settings.php not being found.

../home/freehost/t35.com/v/i/viperpurple/forum/Settings.php doesn't exist. Correct the value you entered for Relative path to your BBS's config file

I have tried it with and without the ".." before the slash.

It seems that i must be doing something really stupid and obvious, but i've installed and reinstalled Coppermine several times and so the main settings are all at the installation defaults.

I don't know what else to suggest, ../forum/ should work just fine.

viperpurple

ok, i'll get onto my hosts and check its not some error in the way my folders arranged

Cheers for all your help with this issue, hopefully it'll work soon :-)
