I am using CPG 1.44 and phpBB 2.19. I demoted an administrator on phpBB, and expected the change to be mirrored accross onto Coppermine, so that the then administrator, would become a regular member. This didn't happen. So, I thought I would do it manually. But clicking (whilst in admin mode) at Users I find no way to change the members group. Looking through the documentation there was an Edit button, but this is not present in this version of Coppermine, the documentation is outdated. Not showing the current UI (which the old UI in my opinion, sometimes seems better.) Would any of you know how to do this, for future reference? Thanks in advance.

when bridged, the user management isn't being done in coppermine, but in your bbs app, so you lose coppermine's "users management" panel in favor of your bbs user management. This is by design and the whole point of bridging, not sure what your actual question is. Read the sticky thread on this board.

I have demoted an administrator on my forum, the user is still in the administrator group(unlimited space) and not the registered group(limited space) on the coppermine gallery.

Since as you say this feature is given up when the two are linked, why is he not demoted on the gallery? How can I demote the user i.e. change which group they are in?

I have no idea what you're talking about. Do you actually use groups within your bbs app? I have heard that in phpBB there are switches that can make a user admin, but not member of a particular group. Also keep in mind that whenever you change your bbs' groups setup you need to go to coppermine's group manager to trigger a re-sync.
Did you read the sticky thread as I suggested? Apparently not, as you failed to do what the sticky thread says.

If the user is in the administrators group then Coppermine will treat them as an administrator. You could probably disable this by changing the bridge file (bridge/phpbb2018.inc.php) here

$this->admingroups = array(2);

Just clear the array

$this->admingroups = array();

It would have been nice if you could have given me a link, and I'm sorry for not finding your software easy straight off the bat, but I do think it's a very nice piece of software. Thanks Nibbler I will try that.

I will explain again, on the forum there are automatically Guest (unregistered), Registered and Admins these are "ranks" that give different read/write permissions on the forum. Using the bridge mamanger it correctly translated that Guests have no rights, Registered have limited rights, Admins have unlimited rights. I changed someone from Admin to Registered on the forum, which I thought would change their group on Coppermine... but they are still in Admins group... that's all. Thanks Nibbler and thanks GauGau for trying to help.
