category alignment??

I got my version 1.3 theme to work in 1.4 :-D... but there are two quirks I can't seem to figure out... even though it worked fine before. My category links are all aligned in the middle, and I'd like to them be aligned to the left. And also the borders around the categories and thumbnails have disappeared... I've tried to fix it a few times and I can't figure it out since it worked before...  thanks!:)

For some reason when you visit it, it wants you to log-in right away...I don't want it to do that either. In version 1.3 I had it where unregistered users could view only the thumbnails. How can I fix that? Sorry for so many questions.


Anyway, I created a username and password so you can login and see.

That's an option in cpg1.4.x that is off be default, so you must have enabled it without knowing what it is being used for. Please RTFM before asking questions and stick to the "One issue per thread" policy in the future.
To allow guests to see the thumbnails only, but not the actual pics is being described in the FAQ. Again: RTFM.

I'm having the same problem and I have RTFM-ed to the point where I've looked up every use of the words 'categories' and 'alignment'. I can't find anything in the documentation about Category alignment at all. Every theme I have installed the categories come up like this:
