Hi

I'm trying to set up correct permissions on my MAC OSX server. Can anyone tell me what these should be? I've followed all the supplied install instructions for /include etc, but as soon as I login things go very astray and I lose all menus etc. I am sure there be some global chown or chmod applied to my whole coppermine folder and all sub folders and files. Does anyone have experience of this and what should be set?  I'm successfully running many other PHP/MySQL systems but just can't get this one right! The others run under owner www and group admin. I've tried this chown change globally but still to no avail.

Thanks!

rather a cookie / authentification issue than a permission / ownership issue imo. Post a link to your coppermine site for a start.

Hi - well thanks to a helpful Linux-savvy friend it turned out, as I thought, to be exactly that - a permissions issue and nothing to do with cookies or authentication. And I couldn't post a link "for a start" as the site doesn't work and isn't a site! I will post it when I've sorted it. Thanks for your kind and informative help. And I'll post the correct permissions setup required for installing coppermine on an OSX host so if you ever see another related request you can point them to it.
