Hello all.

I find it very frustrating to have to re-name the images in the order I want them to appear in the gallery so would it be possible for someone to make a script or something that would allow pictures to be moved around?

I've tried that advanced sorting script but it is not what I want, I want something that has something under the thumbnail that has 'move left' or something along those lines. Is it possible?
Cause right now the only thing I do not like about this gallery is the inability to re-arrange the photos how you want, not how they were uploaded or how they were named.

Could it maybe be a feature in a new release?

Other than that this script is very good and thank-you for making it free and easy.

anyone? the gallery is pretty basic without this option...

First it's "very good" now it's "pretty basic"? These guys have put a lot of work into this.

Calm down! Let's just stick to his question...

OK, to answer the question: the advanced sorting mod has been reported to work quite well; if it doesn't work for you then maybe you have made a mistake implementing it. Re-read the thread (all of it!) and try to apply it once more.

I'd go for batch-renaming pics before actually uploading them - much faster, easily done, with free software (like Irfan View or 1-4 rename). Should solve your problems (bottom line is: don't do things on the webserver that can be done on the client!).

:D

I wasn't upset or instulted. I was just pointing out what you said. If I was upset I would've put an angry smiley ( :x ) in there.  :D

As for the file renaming: The Rename Program also does a great job.
