1.2.1 -> 1.4.5 - mySQL error: Table 'tablename.gallery_filetypes' doesn't exist

hi,

i just tried to upgrade from version 1.2.1 to 1.4.5.
after running update.php, i got an overview of all changes that had been made, and this gave no errors.

i clicked the version checker link, and i just got a blank page saying "fatal error: ", with nothing more.
same goes for my indexpage.
with debug_mode = 1 (i had to change it in the database itself since every page is blank now), i got the following message:

While executing query "SELECT extension, mime, content, player FROM gallery_filetypes;" on 0
mySQL error: Table 'tablename.gallery_filetypes' doesn't exist

can anyone please help me?

Post a link, ensure you uploaded the new version of update.sql before you updated and taht your mysql user has the ALTER privilege.

many thanks for your quick response...
i can 't post a link, as the gallery is in a password protected part of the website 

i uploaded the new version of update.sql, but my mysql user has no alter privilege.
can i change my mysql privileges, and run the update.php again to fix it?

and can i remove the alter privilege again afterwards?
