can't connect to database

Hi ,  I got the problem when I try to go to my index page:

"Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (61)"

what's this and how do I resolve it?

that's not related to CPG
that was MySql server issue
