New users unable to register

I recently upgraded via my cpanel to 1.4.2 and it worked on my other galleries but when I tried to update my larger gallery it completely screwed everything up. New people are unable to register and when I set it to where anyone can view the gallery, it still says people need to login.

When people try to register, this is the message that comes up:

This specific gallery is vital to my website so any help would be very much appreciated.

- DO NOT use autoinstaller script like fantastico they known to be buggy and outdate
- The error message indicate that you are using old theme file ( 1.3.x ) with you 1.4.x CPG if you are using custom theme you need to upgrade it , refer to documantation for upgrading theme
- Most recent version is 1.4.8 please upgrade your gallery
