HI,

I discovered that I got a virus or some type of hack in my gallery and I needed to find a way to back it up without going to the gallery page because anytime I did my pc froze.

So I backed up the database thru cpanel and I don't know if this was enough but I still have all the directories in my server for my old gallery in case I need to get images from there too.

I just don't know what to do now.

I have a fresh installation of the gallery with the same database information as the deleted gallery database but when I tried the first time to restore the databse thru my cpanel I got a fatal error meesage at the top left corner of the page. SO now that I have another fresh database created I installed the gallery again and have not restored the old database yet.

I would like some help to get my images and database info into the fresh installation. How can I do this?

I would really appreciate the help.

Thanks

J.

I am very interested in this topic as well.

I didn't have any crash or anything, but I am running coppermine 1.3.3 on a server and am about to move to another hosting service.
I'd love to retain my old database/album setup and upgrade to 1.4.9, is this possible? If so, would I be able to drag my old "albums" folder with all the images and thumbnails  onto my new server and be ready to rock?

Thanks for the help!

Please accept a newbie's apology, I discovered the docs in the new version of coppermine's folder. I bet the answer will be in there.
