Batch Upload issue. "404 Can't Read that file"

So I was able to batch upload an album fine last week. Tried again this week and am getting this image,"Can't read that file" (https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.brennanp.com%2Fgallery%2Fshowthumb.php%3Fpicfile%3Duploadz%252Fhalloween%252Fhall_020_%2528Small%2529.jpg%26amp%3Bsize%3D48&hash=28d366af941b678da68c4cd4145c9a70bc4aeeaf) for the thumbnail, this also then does not allow me to select the image.

I've gone through some of the guides, ensures my folders were 777 chmod and also tried to upload a single file through the http.. THIS WORKS.. however the Batch still does not.  I searched the forum for this error and found nothing..

Anyone ?

as well the files are about 150 kb each, resolution is within the settings in my admin console.

using GD for image manipulation and it was working last week.

Looks like I renamed some of the files, they were too long.. and batch worked.. So where can I handle this, Admin maybe...   I don't want filenames to be an issue if they are too many chars
