Now I'm REALLY confused. I have an album where a set of pictures out of the middle of the album do not display EXIF info, but pictures before and one photo after these photos DO display the EXIF info.

The entire album was built at the same time, using the same processes, and when I view all the JPGs with other products, the EXIF/IPTC info appears to be identical for all photos. Canon CR2 files were processed in LightRoom and the entire set of 96 photos was uploaded with FTP to my web space. Then the Batch Add process added all the photos into Coppermine. The script timed out twice and had to be restarted. Then I ran the Admin Tools and removed the full size photos. The Coppermine configuration was NOT changed in the middle of this process.

The album is http://gallery.defenbaugh.com/thumbnails.php?album=69&page=1. The first few photos, 3339-3364, DO display EXIF info. The next photos 3365-3478 do NOT display EXIF info. Then the last photo, 3488, DOES display EXIF info.

Very very strange and I can't see the pattern here. FWIW, I deleted one of the photos that did NOT display EXIF info, 3478 (last one), then uploaded it again and added it back into the database. I did NOT delete the full size photo (as confirmed by how you can click on the photo for the full size picture), but the EXIF info STILL does NOT appear.

What's the key? How do I get consistent results here? Any help or insight would be appreciated. TIA

I saw your threads/postings on this topic (at least I think they were yours), and I read the replies someone offered that described the conditions under which EXIF information was displayed. That's why I performed the last test where I deleted a photo and uploaded it again, being careful to leave the full size picture in place. Alas, the EXIF information doesn't appear for that picture either.

???I think in the various replies to your posting someone, maybe you, mentioned doing a "refresh" on the photos. I failed to find that exact command in the admin tools. ????

The EXIF library used with Coppermine is outdated and doesn't get developed any longer. Therefor, there may be issues with particular EXIF fields and the content in it. There may be issues with different EXIF flavors by different camera vendors. Hard to recommend anything, sorry.

Thanks GauGau.

icnd: I had a wee bit of success, but no cigar, when I took the album in question and re-built (exported) all the JPGs while constraining them during the export to the max size I allow in Coppermine. That prevented any intermediate files from being built. But I left "keep intermediate", or whatever that setting is, turned on.

The result was a sharp rise in the number of photos that displayed EXIF info, but it's still not 100%.

Sure wish I could find a pattern here. It isn't size, and it's not orientation of photo. I just can't see why two almost identical photos, side by side, will behave differently when it comes to EXIF info display.

But thanks again for everyone's help.
