When I orginally installed Coppermine I installed it on my Web-hosting server(shared-server).
I liked Coppermine so much and so did my forum Staff that I decided to get a dedicated server
for it.
So I did, and I copying all the Coppermine files from the Web-Server onto the Dedicated
Server, I kept the same domain name Edtoons.com and had the IP of the dedicated server
pointed to Edtoons.com. I also did create a MYSQL database in the domain like i should,
kept the database name, password, and username all the same as the old database....

Everything works ok with the Edtoons.com but Coppermine...I get this fatal
error message...

While executing query "SELECT * FROM cpg1_config" on 0

mySQL error: Table 'cartooner.cpg1_config' doesn't exist

What am I missing...or do i hve to do a complete new install..I hate to do this cuz my forum Staff ppl have a number of images on it.  Which I did save.

Did you make a backup of the database before moving the files? After you create the database you have to load the information back into the new database after moving. This has been discussed many times so try searching the forum.
Did you read the manual first???? Taking 2 minutes to backup your files can save you hours of wondering what you screwed up.

No I didn't backup the MYSQL database, I just save the files and pics. I was more worried about losing the pics.

I guess I have to do a whole new install...and have the my Staff ppl recreate their accounts and FTP the images into their new account.

No, if the files are there and you have only forgotten to save your database, you could batch-add the files, adding them to the database this way (much faster method than re-uploading stuff).

cartooner

You are right. The files were there yet so I successfully moved them.

But now i have one problem yet, I get an Impossible To Move Message
and did ask for help in the Upload message area.

Joachim Müller

Don't cross-post. "Impossible to move" means you haven't set permissions as suggested in the docs. We have a "one question per thread" policy. Locking.
