hi all, my first post and i hope this wasnt asked 1000 times before. but i didnt found something...

i want (as in menalto gallery) more than 1 midsize picture,, because i offer wallpapers. so i need a thumbnail, a midsize pic with 400x400 pixel, 1024x768, 1280x1024 and the original file without any compression/manipulation.

can i do this? i hope it, coppermine is my last hope  :-\ gallery2 is damn slow and i hate to use it >:(

With Coppermine you have a thumbnail, intermediate sized photo (what you call "a midsize pic with 400x400 pixel" but can be any size you wish) and a larger photo. Therefore you have 3 images of the same photo but you can create and upload the other sizes and add a link to them in the photo description. These links will show up when viewing the intermediate size image. An example of this is here where you can see the link below the intermediate photo linking to a high-res image - http://www.bullseyephotos.com/sports/displayimage.php?album=65&pos=5.
Did you read the manual first???? Taking 2 minutes to backup your files can save you hours of wondering what you screwed up.

so the solution should be to manual resize the other resolutions, upoad them as 2nd version from the smaller one and crosslink them? so i have the same picture twice in 1 album or 2 albums with the "resolution category"... i think that looks not very professional :'(

what i mean is a kind of select box where i can choose which resolution i want. if i upload the pics cpg should convert them in these resolutions and dont touch the original (my originals have 5000 pix with 300dpi, thats why i need so much midsize pictures).

but what i can hear is that cpg is not the right for this project... ?

Out of the box, coppermine doesn't do what you're up to. Bottom line: coppermine indeed doesn't seem to be the proper app for your purposes.

hm... very sad :'( i like cpg and it seems to be fast... so there's no way... and i must use menalto gallery i think :-\

thank you for your help :)
