Hello dear Coppermine users/makers :-)

I've a small question. I would allow to members of the group 'global moderators' the permission to moderate (delete or edit) comments.
The question is : how can I do this ??

Thank you very much in advance for your help !

Coppermine doesn't come with moderator capabilities out of the box. So you could set up a group that is named "global moderators", but this wouldn't actually do anything or make the members of that group special.
In fact, there are some mods around that provide basic moderator capabilities for other admin tasks, check "Moderators for Album pictures" and "Moderators for Upload Approval (1.4.x)" and maybe "Give Admin-Access to Certain Scripts for a Specified Group". That's all there is. There is no comment moderator mod available afaik. If you need more, you'll have to code it.
Anyway, I suspect that your interesst in comment moderation lies in the fact that you're experiencing board spam, which is a common phenomenon these days, so instead of trying to figure out comment moderation I rather suggest taking a look at the threads that deal with avoiding comment spam in the first place: try the akismet mod and the captcha mod/plugin.

First of all, I'm sorry for the misplacement of the topic.

Then, thank you very much for your rapid answer... and precise :-) You're right : I'm thinking about this after some spam problems. I already looked around the captcha plugin's and I've planned its installation in a few days. But in my website (running SMF+Coppermine bridged), I would like to give to some people ('global moderators' of SMF) the permission to moderate the SMF forum AND the coppermine gallery, including modifications to comments. I'll have a look to the mods you've been talking to me.

Thank you very much ! (and please don't blame me for my so poor english ;-) I'm working on it ;-))
