Hey Folks,

I have something going on with my site which is weird. I added a 'quick search' thing to my site when I set it up, and sometimes it works right and sometimes it doesn't. What happens is sometimes, if you type in 2 words, it searches based on "and" and sometimes 'or" .. like "iceberg lake" sometimes yields photos of "iceberg lake" and sometimes it yields photos with either iceberg  OR lake in the keywords. I set up some links on my home page to pre-determined searches, such as "Mt. Logan" or 'bull caribou fighting' and sometimes those links take me to the right results, and sometimes they're all messed up, showing any images with any of those words in their keyword sections. What's weird is it's not consistent. Does anyone have any idea of how to remedy this? I'd really aprpeciate it.

Thank you.

Hey Folks

This is still occurring, and I have no idea why. It seems to go through periods where it works correctly, displaying the relevant search words, and then periods where it does not, and displays results for all the terms separately, hence "Mt McKinley" shows up when I search for "Mt Logan". This is effectively rendering the search useless, so I would really appreciate if someone has any ideas on this.

The problem does not happen when I use the 'Detail Search" page, here:

Any ideas or help would be most aprpeciated. Thank you.

That gallery is running 1.4.5

Hey Nibbler

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I have made all the necessary changes to the files along the way (as far as I know) without updating to the newer version. I thought this was all that was requisite. Are you saying that updating to a later version would solve this issue?

Thanks again, I appreciate your help.

You might have kept up with the security fixes, but releases deal with a lot more than that. I think the fix is here - http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=34262.0 which as mentioned in the thread went into 1.4.11.

Walkinman

Hey Nibbler

Thank you again, as always, your help is appreciated.

I tried the change mentioned in the thread you pointed me too, but the problem still exists, so that didn't fix it. Any other ideas?

I will try to update to a newer version soon, as I get the time.

Thanks again.

Cheers
